It also manufactures turntables for other well-known and highly-regarded companies that use Project's sophisticated technology. Well, Project applies all of this to the new XTENSION 9 turntable. The electronic motor is assisted by a circuit that also controls the speeds of 33, 45 and 78 rpm. This motor drives the platter made of a sandwich of various materials by means of a flat rubber belt around the perimeter. The main chassis is a system that Project calls sub chassis with floating magnetic charge. This prevents vibrations from reaching the arm/capsule and degrading the sound quality. The platter rests on a magnetic system that raises it a few millimetres above the transmission shaft. This shaft incorporates a precision ceramic bearing. This magnetic suspension of the platter also prevents friction on the vertical axis of the transmission, thus achieving greater rotational precision and preventing vibrations from being transmitted to the vinyl record.
