Krell KRS-2

A control amplifier developed by inheriting the technology of KRS-Balanced which is a high-end machine of KRS (Kroell Reference Standard) series. While the KRS-Balanced is a monaural design, the KRS-2 uses a stereo design and is a reference model for the control amplifier in stereo design. In the KRS-2, the power supply is separated, and the power transformer is provided in a separate housing to eliminate interference between circuits. The circuit configuration is based on the high-end equipment. The buffer amplifier between each stage eliminates mutual interference between circuits, and a CR type equalizer that eliminates capacitors from the NF loop is used. The phono input has a built-in high-grade head amplifier to bring out the advantages of the MC cartridge and a 9-step impedance switching function. A dedicated buffer amplifier is provided for the CD input. In addition, Krell's original filter circuit is adopted, and the setting of the condition which matches the characteristics of every CD player. The chassis is made of thick aluminum material to eliminate the effect of harmful vibration.
